Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the advantages that process management offers to improve the administrative management of MSMEs under a "mapping and process diagram" in the Machala canton, and to be able to know how process management influences competitiveness and organization of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The presentation of this research was carried out according to the methodology received and taught in the business administration career, and due to the subject of management by processes, it also focuses exclusively on a general analysis, for this reason, it is necessary to carry out an investigation on the different topics such as: MSMEs, process management, administrative management, mapping, process diagram, implementation of process management, advantages of process management, etc.
An investigation was proposed according to the inductive-qualitative method, supported by the documentary review that was valuable to contrast the bibliographic references, for which it was sought to analyze the problem through the collection, interpretation and understanding of data. Carrying out a descriptive, explanatory and analytical study.
Within the study carried out, it was possible to determine the different advantages that it offers when applying process management to the administrative and productive operation of MSMEs. By means of two important tools that are the mapping of processes, and a process diagram that was used for the respective analysis of the study.
As a final result, it was found that process management contributes significantly to the promotion of business competitiveness, directing it towards the coordination, organization and efficient exploitation of the resources available to an organization, in addition to the advantages provided by implementing tools such as the process mapping, and process diagram.
